about me
I am a multidisciplinary artist based in British Columbia, working across stop-motion, sculpture, and cinematic storytelling. My practice centres on building immersive, tactile worlds through handcrafted sets, puppets, and mixed-media processes.
I grew up in a small town in the South Okanagan, where fashion, film, and video games became the ways in which I learned to understand and imagine the world. I was drawn to stories that could transport you to places that felt magical, unsettling, and emotionally charged. That sense of wonder continues to shape how I create.
Much of my work reflects the duality of childhood: softness and unease existing at once. I return to motifs like dollhouses, unicorns, bows, and castles, recontextualizing them through darker, gothic tones. Through this tension, I explore memory, vulnerability, and the emotional residue of growing up.
My process is deeply hands-on. I often use materials sourced from my home and surroundings, creating work that is both tactile, sustainable, and intimate. This approach reflects an ongoing commitment to sustainability, ethical making, and resourcefulness.
I am currently studying Film + Screen Arts at Emily Carr University of Art + Design, where I am developing my practice across film, visual design, and narrative. My work combines all fabrication, cinematography, sound & post-production to create emotionally driven visual experiences that linger beyond the frame.
